#042 Koga/Brock/Agatha's Golbat

Ah yes, the last opponent of a gym that was fortunate to be in an actual battle for a badge. After all, Brock forfeited, he got the Cascade Badge by just HAVING Pikachu (talk about cop out), Ash actually defeated Raichu with Pikachu in his first unorthodox win (a trend we all love to see continue to the end of his days), he brought Haunter along and made Sabrina laugh again, he saved Erika's Gloom from a fire, actually beat Koga's Golbat with Charmander, actually beat Blaine with Charizard (a pretty awesome battle), but then beat TR for his Earth Badge. That's basically 3 1/2 battles he actually fought for a badge out of 8. And you genwunners say only the first season was good, man you guys are dumb.
Brock's Golbat came about after being in a labyrinth of sorts, using its Supersonic for a good cause. And Agatha's just appeared on screen. Fun fact: my first shiny pokemon was a Golbat.
