MY 2ND PEN NAME WAS INSPIRED BY THOSE NAMES
I’VE DONE MORE DRAWINGS OF HER THEN THE GOSH DARN MAIN CHARACTER OF MY BOOK AND ME AND MY CO-WRITER (WHICH I GUESS MEANS I SHOULD SAY OUR BOOK, NOT MY BOOK) ARENT GOING TO INTRODUCE HER INTO THE STORY UNTIL THE SECOND BOOK AND WE’RE NOT EVEN DONE WITH THE FIRST
oop I forgot to turn caps off but I don’t wanna have to write all that all over again so imma leave it like that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Poor Milo, he seems so out of his depth here!
YES, who can say no to some good kitty-cat soap opera action??? I've been reading Warriors since middle school (I'm now in my mid-20s) and think the creators in the fandom elevate the series in spite of its many faults. The first arc has so much charm, but I feel like the series has lost a lot of that and forgotten much of its own lore as it has continued. which is super frustrating to see as a reader. The DRAMA is still pretty top-notch, though, and the authors have figured out more horrible ways to kill off characters than Stephen King himself.
(not to be mean or put you down or anything I just wanna share stuff right now sorry if this sounds mean)
ive been reading warriors since I was in I think either kindergarten or 1st grade
im still trying to read the first series cuz I don’t have all the books and so I basically read it like this:
Into the Wild - Moonlight - Dawn - the Power of Three series - The Forgotten Warrior - The Apprentices Journey - the book after The Apprentices Journey (I forgot the name) - the books after Into the Wild (except for the fifth one (and 6th one if there is a 6th one) - Midnight
mmm angry cats fighting for stars
OK BUT oh my gosh i am SO so intrigued after binging a bunch of pages i was behind on theres so much going on i wanna know about and the last few reveals have just been *EYE EMOJIS* GSOHSH i love this comic so much im YELLING
I feel bad for Milo here, but that small interaction was relatable and his confusion of where he is and stuff, you could say that "Milo hits home"
I've read one of the books of Warriors but could never get the second, I don't really like skipping entire books so I just left it there until I get the second one.
I love Warriors. Read them as a kid and still love them in my mid-20s. I have a lot of opinions about them lol. I will defend the first series (first 6 books) as legitimately fantastic reads with great character development and one of the best villain deaths I've ever read until the day I die. I'm also very fond of The New Prophecy although it's not as good as those first 6 books. The rest.... ehhhh. The fourth series in particular has earned my vitriol for undoing so much of what made the first two series so well done ("iTs hiS dEsTinY sAnDstOrM" uggghhhh). Also, I find that every series past TNP, even the super editions, suffer from what I like to call "ThunderClan bloat", where the authors are just SO damn reluctant to kill off a decent amount of main characters (including ones that should have died of old age like 12 books ago) while continuing to add new ones that the "main" / POV clan is about triple the size of the others by the end of the story.
.. I have a lot more to say but I'll chill for now lol
Oh dear, makes sense for a long running series, as much as I would like to read the later books someday. At a minimum though I'm determined to read through the second series again sometime.
I do enjoy warriors! I haven’t read any books yet but I’ve learned the concept and know what occurred in some of them now. I’ve been knowing about warriors for years now and I do roleplay it.
I haven't read Warriors since the Last Hope, but I still love the series. And the world. And I still want to write a fanfic/fancomic of my own, but the story continues to evolve, so if I want to avoid contradicting the canon, I'd have to create my own Clans and explain how they came into existence and design like a hundred cats and I also don't want to contradict biology and genetics so I gotta study up on that for a bit and... well, you get the idea.
I think my favorite part is the apprenticeship thing, actually.
I always think of the warriors apprentice thing when hearing about the cats at my parents house sldjfh One is older and has sort of taken the younger cat on for what my mom likes to call "hunting practice" despite them both being indoor cats
