My Bio
I recently retired from an international career as a petroleum geologist and am now devoting more or less full-time to my photography passion. I’ve long been in thrall to the beautiful in all its forms and thus as a photographer pursue many different subjects from wildlife to landscapes to architecture to longtime exposures to abstract. But a particular fascination for me is that highly evolved form of beauty: Woman.

Model Society Dance Issue!

I’ve been so busy of late with shoots – to Moab Utah in May and Iceland in June and others – that I’ve been slow to note Model Society published a special magazine issue dedicated to my work with dancers just this May. Working with dancers, both professional and those training for a dance career, has been such an enjoyable pursuit for me, equal to my work with art nude models you see here. And sometimes the two interests are combined as you will see in the pages of this issue. This latest book is a compilation of my favorite fine art nude photos from my first five years of working in this genre, a “best of the rest” you might say. In this time I’ve worked with over 50 fine art models; 42 of them are in this book. I did this project for myself, to have a coffee table size book to browse and to show to friends. I feel so fortunate that Melissa favored me as she approached the end of her modeling career with this unique collaboration, and her friendship. Do you know that feeling, when you are eating something that tastes extremely delicious but also exotic, there is a new taste and fragrance. You enjoy and you can't stop.
That was the feeling I had as I started to scroll trough your gallery. I had to force myself to end this. Amazing! ... and it seems to be because there are so many great and nice ideas, the photographs are set so well overall for me: brilliant!
