Latest Update (12NOV22): Well, here's the latest word that I've seen mentioned about this whole debacle and how it played out (I reblogged it from someone onto my own Tumblr page) . https://rbl-m1a2tanker.tumblr.com/post/700754114803597312 Basically, the Opt-Out was something that was apparently always going to be a thing, but the devs needed time to polish it further. However, the dART Twitter people are terrible communicators (ironic considering that's like...their whole job) and even though the devs told them Don't Say It This Way, they did it anyway, and everything blew up. Now, I freely admit, I do not know how accurate that blog post is, as I'm not part of the DeviantART Discord that they say these conversations took place. Maybe it's false, maybe it's true. However, having been working in IT for 15+ years myself, I can totally see it playing out exactly the way they said it did. And now the dART management have to deal with the fallout from it, as a lot of folks are
