This is a fully functional, very emotive and convincing walk-cycle. Hat's off to you, bro.
You've done a great job of keeping a consistent mass between pictures, something that is commonly a falling point for some animators, and you've kept the "wibblies" of your lines to a minimum, which keep the viewer's attention where you want. Obviously, the plot.
If this walk isn't worthy of the phrase "swagalicious", then no walk will be. You've done a great job of keeping the swag swaying throughout the entirety of the piece.
I am SO looking forward to the finished product. ^_^
I can't give you full points on originality, because... well... everypony walks, but with the finished piece, I can give you a big 5 stars there, I bet.
I also can't give you full stars on impact either, because... well... then I wouldn't be able to give you 5 stars on the finished one because it would have a better impact, which I have no doubt you will deserve with animation of this quality.
Keep up the good work, You're doing awesome. (Also, where'd the hind legs go on some portion of the cycle? Probably just WIP artefacts)
voice to text while drunk and trying to poop. i thought it could translate bowl movements into deep hidden messages. (you wanted to know and i told you) ... (im still drunk writting this message)
Fun Fact: The walk cycle actually is finished and I did actually posted the blank manaquin pony on my deviant art account.
Within 1 hour, someone already ripped if from my gallery, recolored it so the lines match the colors of the main six and posted giffs of the walk cycle on various sites and not credit me 40 people commented on each one and wanted to share it. I DID NOT want a work in progress rough animation of mine to go viral. I spent the next three hours ordering teardowns of as many sites as I could find then deleted it from my deviant art acount. I am thinking about delete this one too.
Don't worry, I have major plans for this walk cycle. It will be used in a new series I'm creating and I KNOW people will love what I do with it.
*bangs head against wall*
Man, having your art stolen sucks, my condolences, friend.
Yeah, this has happened to many other artists as well, some even photoshoped the signature of an artist on a comic out of it and THEN posted it.
That's not helping anyone, really.
Specifically, which sites? Probably cheezburger and other look-alikes... they have a bad reputation when it comes to stealing other's work.
