how have i not seen this one?! this is sooooo amazing and delicate. there is such a longing and frailty to this photo that goes beyond words. the face being cast into darkness of a current bleakness, while there is light all around symbolizing hope or perhaps something everyone else seems to have, but the lonely figure. or maybe all of the above. i love how emotionally charged this photo is. it's ridiculous. it's very moving.
