I spent last night making up a new set of Kimono for my Nijika figure. The first one had a lot of errors in them, such as a lot of places where the heat bond bled through the fabric and darkened it badly, and the bamboo leaves on the front of the under Kimono that I redid twice and then totally patched over - with heat bond that bled, incidentally - which resulted in a really horrid looking mess upon close inspection. It didn't show up much in the original photos - which I attribute to my cameraphone being somewhat lame and not to the quality of my work - however I couldn't help but SEE it as a glaring mess every time I looked at her. Starting March 1st, I will begin work on my next TF costume for this year's BotCon. Trying something new, this year, that will hopefully make the whole costuming experience much more fun for me - not that previous years haven't been fun, but I have some ideas to make it even [i]better[/i]!
I'll try to remember to post pictures along the way, but knowing how I go all bi-polar and go from nothing to a full mock up in a single night? I can't make any guarantees that there will be many. I'll try, though.
