Hey everybody! I am sure you have all been wondering why the prints staff has been so quiet for the last year or so and what we are up to.
So, as an early Christmas present, the Prints staff has decided to break its vows of secrecy and silence, and reveal to you the mysteries of our department (rumors of which have echoed through the DA HQ halls for a long time now).
Since I took over as the Director of Prints last year, our first task was to evaluate the entire prints program, and identify the areas where we had problems as well as what we needed to do to improve things. Since then, we have undergone quite a few refinements, resolved a number of long term outstanding issues, and generally streamlined the entire operation.
Once that was all done, our next step was to look forward and figure out how to make the best prints program on the planet…both for artists that have art and want to sell it, and for buyers that are looking for original and unique art.
Our manifesto can be summe

Getting the most out of your CSS Journals Three
Hello yet again! Welcome to part 3 of Getting the most out of your CSS Journals. If you haven't done so already, check out parts One and Two. In this edition, we'll be dealing with custom journal icon images, using Pasties in your journals, journal features (showcasing some of the top journals around dA) and as an added bonus, a really nifty PHP script you can download to compliment the use of pasties in journals. Onwards we go!
Custom Journal Images
Sure, the little blue book works well with some themes, but it's not always the most gorgeous thing to see. Hiding it isn't always an option. Sometimes you just want to use your own journal icons. Unfortunately dA doesn't have a way to let you take care of this. But CSS does!

Getting the most out of your CSS Journals Part One
If you're a subscriber, then no doubt you know all too well what you can now do with your journals. The possibilities are almost endless, limited only by your imagination. And there are some great designs popping up, mistercreevy, Nameless-Designer,  depthskins to name a few. But surely there's more to CSS than just images and such? That's where this guide comes in.
Over a series of weeks, you'll see just what you can do with your CSS journal, from minor tweaks to full-blown redesigns. And you can help too! Just note your tweaks to Grayda and you can have your tweak included!
Let's begin!
Deviations Box
This is a commonly requested one. This snippet of code will let you display a column to the side of your journal, with some thumbs in there. Much like the little scrolling boxes you see on some people's eBay listing pages. It can display vertical scroll-bars if needed, or hide them completely. Here's the code:

Getting the most out of your CSS Journals Part Two
Welcome back! If you haven't done so already, have a read of Getting the most out of your CSS Journals Part One. Part two deals with Dressing up your mood boxes, adding extra lines to your Journal title, and will touch upon dynamic images in your journal, amongst other things. So without further delay, let's begin!
Mood boxes
"Mood boxes", or the little box that shows what you're listening to etc, is now available to everyone. Subscribers and non subscribers alike. It would seem that there's not a whole lot you can do with these, asides from change the colours and such. But something a few people don't know, is that you can move your mood box anywhere you like, and do so much more than just colourising it. In this example, we'll show you how to shift your mood box to the right, just like in This example.

Where else are you, online?

Lately I've been really enjoying reading other people's blog/journals/diaries/whatever-they're-being-called-now. So, my question for you, dear readers is... where else do you have an online presence? Care to share?

I've been getting a little carried away myself... Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr... they all get a decent amount of attention from me. Or at least get updated more often than I update most things here :) Those status update things are awesome... and the ability to directly upload a photo to your blog/facebook/site from your cell phone?!:faint: how cool is that?!

You can find links to most of my other online homes in the column to the left <-- Feel free to add me, or watch me, or follow me, or whatever. Oh, and don't forget to send me a message or something with your dA username so I know who's adding me :)

Do you read blogs on Google Reader? Do you share blogs there? Do you want to share links with me? Note me your email address and we can connect.
