Agoraphobia

Many of these I started days even weeks before and didn’t finish for whatever reasons, this one for example I started after I did “The Light Beckons” painting but then I started working on it some more a few days ago when I saw angst was the challenge word. I then finished it up today. Plus ones such as this I can leave the edges and blending very rough because in my point of view, it enhances the mood intended.

Agoraphobia is something I struggle with constantly, and use the excuse of working on art to avoid going to some events. So then I have 15 hours a day to paint until classes start back up. It’s a very complicated condition that doesn’t effect everyone the same, my intent here is to portray the anxiety feeling sometimes where even trying to get ready for something you agreed to suddenly feels dark and overwhelming
