You have really great, defined shading on the face, but it sort of gets muddy everywhere else, if that makes sense. I would say work with light and shadow on still lifes to really grasp the definition and contrast to pull the forms you're looking for. Fabric stock images would be great references for the figure's top. Otherwise, I really do love that you can see such defined form on face and head, it's very standout and demonstrates to me that you've got the right idea, now apply it to the rest of the piece and you'll be set.
