BOTW Link boxer rough concepts

Morning, folks.

This was something I worked on as part of a potential commission, last year- @icongdkphotography asked me   to give this a try as he wanted to commission me doing a comic page of Link fighting one of his characters. Unfortunately, a change in circumstances have put that on hold to this very day.  Still, it felt like  a waste to just leave this gathering dust-  I do recall a long  ago started something similar with  the Twilight Princess version of Link, I never moved that past the initial sketch.

In terms of style reference, I had a bit to work with- I had the book on the creating  of the game "Creating a Champion" which I had gotten for quite a steal, years ago.  Most of it was pretty basic, but working with with the  crest and the boots took time and work.

I don't know if that commission will be dusted off anytime soon, but I hope you guys like this one. Might be good should I decide to put him in a punchout match or two in the meantime. I know I'm not the first to give Link the boxer treatment, and I doubt I'll be the last. XD
