I love your bold use of colour and your contrasting blues and oranges on the bird's feathers. I also think the background is done well, with similar colours so as to draw attention to the main focus of the image.
I don't often like to see frames on drawings, but I really think the thick black frame adds to the style and atmosphere of this piece. Nice choice.
I love the detailed and delicate background compared to the rather simple design of the rest of the image. I also like the way the colours blend into each other and how you've carried the gold edging around the bird.
I do think this would be better off as a square drawing though...
