Part I: Chance This story plays roughly two years after the events in “Felarya - Jade + Jora - First contact”   The city of Negav; two humans were sitting at a fully crowded table of a well-known Tavern close to the main gates. The air was thick with a mix of sweat, other body-odours, smoke from herbs and the smell of cheap beer and alcohol. The loud chattering made it almost impossible to have a normal conservation but for many patrons this was the whole purpose to visit this little shady place. Among these were two mentioned humans; a man in the middle of his twenties, his stature athletic and his short, raven-black hair trimmed down and a slightly younger woman with crimson-red hair. If someone would have bothered to take a closer look, he would have spotted the resemblance between the two of them, making it clear that they were brother and sister. She fell, head forward into the darkness. Five, four, three, two one … splash. Several dead animals, Jade couldn’t tell what kind of they were but they looked like big birds with two long legs, were lying around, their bellies ripped open and their innards pouring out of their body. Among those dead creatures were also the body of five humans, killed the same way as their animal companions. Around them were two creatures that remembered Jade of wolves but they were much larger, had six legs and seemed way more aggressive and dangerous. They were gnawing and eating the dead bodies and seemed to be occupied with this. Jade could spot several carts that had be thrown to the side and were now lying on the ground, useless but this was probably the only reason why the rest of this caravan had survived. When you are traveling through the jungles Felarya, you’re usually a predator who is in search of its next food or you are a prey that tries to avoid the former. No matter in which category you belong; you always try to be silent and blend in with your surroundings. And so, it was quite unusual to hear a rhythmic huffing that came from a small glade amid the jungle. Whoever would have been curious enough to risk a peek would be rewarded with a not so common sight. Depending which size you were, a young giant (or normal sized) woman was doing pushups in quite a tempo.
