So, yeah, the finalized version of the Random Freight Tables for d20 Star Wars is set, still waiting on a great artist to get back to me about the cover art (this person already said yes to the interior piece). I also made a lot of headway on the Stronghold Builder's Addition project; the cover is set, the interior layout, all the tables, etc. I'm waiting on some permissions for interior art pieces and then it will be set. You would not believe how difficult it is to find a good "well" piece (you know, like a water cistern? the most important thing in a community?) I really wish I had real artistic talent when it comes to drawing/painting, but I have to console myself with the layout/design work I learned in college to get me by in my hobbies. The great thing about InDesign is simply how professional things can look with the right fonts, the almost formulaic prescriptions to guard against "white space" and how great it looks with real art from real artists once a permission is granted. Random Light Freighter Starship Tables This project stems from an upcoming change back to Star Wars for our RPG group, and Drow of Donjon was kind enough to code an online version of the tables for my group. It was going to become a PDF, but it took a really long time to roll all the results in real life, and after discussing it with George (one of my players who does IT work in real life), we sent an Email to the webmaster of Donjon asking him to look over the project... and whether we could borrow the source code for his wonderful generators, or whether he could put it up for us on his site... and he chose the latter.
