black diamonds by raun black diamonds by raun
view of the channels cutting through copenhagen. The skewed building to the far right is called the black diamond (its the royal library). I think the opposing buildings on the other side of the channel compliments the library nicely. I'm not at all into photographing cityscapes, but I played the tourist last week, and i'm just showing the results...

I really like the colors, and the reclection.

But I was wondering, which ISO setting did you use?
Because I'm trying to get started on some night shots, but don't know which ISO to use... =/

Spectacular! I love the contrast between the smooth water and the sharp, modern buildings. The colours are very beautiful too. xxx

Nice shot!
I'm not a big favorite of cityscapes either - but the eary colors in this one make it interesting.
Ther is one good way to make this photo even better (but takes too much time and effort usually): Double exposure (could be PS'ed from two shots) - one shot for the sky when there is more light, and ther second for the lighted intereiors, that will not result in burning the highlights - the combination (in lighten mode, possibly) is great!

Lovely photo, I like the balance between the green background, and the heavy light in the buildings to the left - works well

Great shot with an exposure that fits nicely - good job!

Sincerely I find this shot quite banal ... the angle is common and the building have no particular interest.

However technicaly, this is good !

Now that's quite a different view :)

just a question:
to get 30 seconds of exposure and to avoid the overcasting light, did you use a ND filter or whatsoever?
or in any case how did you manage to get this outcome?

thanks in advance!

Im a city night shots freak so I love this. as to crop: worry about the "horizon line" being so close to center. lets see more of these!
