It is a well-known fact that vampirism is an STD. It is a slightly less well-known fact that blood transmits STDs better than any other bodily fluid. And if you hang around, there's about to be a lot of opportunities to catch an STD.

I recommend not accidentally catching an STD, even if it is one that makes you immortal.
