I knew one day this kind of anti-consumer, bullshit fuckery business practice will come along, ever since the Shenmue 3 KS fiasco when we learned that Sony was partially funding it!

Now they're going full speed ahead! Sony wants YOU to fund their own projects so they won't risk a dime of their own money.

This is greedy as shit! Anyone who seriously thinks is a good idea needs their head examined.

Before anyone goes "But it's to gauge interest for projects!" If they wanted to do such a thing, they could release a poll or hire focus groups to look for interest.

 And before anyone goes, "Buuut I can get a special discount or offer!" You know in the business world, investors pour in their own money into a company, the company uses those funds to create and market products, if the products sell, the investors get their money back plus more!

But with Crowdfunding, you're not gonna see a scent come back to you, Sony will take your money, use it to market the product and profit. Yeah you might get the item you want, but you still have to buy it anyway.

I hope this fails, I really do. I was never big on KS because I knew greedy shits would take advantage of it.

And now look what happened.

I usually don't tell people what to do with their own money, as we have the freedom to do so. But please don't support this kind of behavior! If this succeeds, even more companies will start using crowdfunding for products that THEY should be funding themselves.
