I made this sun top from a pattern dated 1944.
I used red gingham fabric and two red buttons from 1930's.
I really like the way it turned out and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.
Not bad for being my first try.

And please don't mind my ink, it's work in progress and the roses won't be there for much longer...

I love this type of 40's style, it's really womanly I think :) x

This is WONDERFUL!! I am such a fan of vintage 1940s stuff, and you pulled it off so fabulously with that rockabilly-edge from the tattoos(:

I just have a question, though, since I've been sitting here quite confused for about five minutes, just staring at the photo. I don't understand how the knot in front works without pulling the cups all oddly! Perhaps you can give my mind a rest? ^_^

Beautiful work! I have a top with the exact same pattern. :)
I love tattoos. May I ask what will happen to the inked roses?

Thanks.
The crying lady on my back will get a pair of black wings.

Very nice, but I have to ask, is it comfortable?

Thank you.
Yes, it's very comfortable, if it wasn't, I wouldn't wear it. :)

Thank you. :)
Hopefully the back piece will be covered up and colored very soon. I've waited for over 4 years to get it done.

The irony of combining the '40's look with the tattoos is overwhelming. High five!
