This artwork was made in 2012 for a sci fi week and a friend of mine take this idea and made a incredible art: The Verge lightfarmstudios.com.br/br/ima…

As many people already know, I think, it is a fanart of Rendezvous com Rama with the 2001 of Arthur C. Clarke.

Simply Phenomenal. It can easily be relatable with the details in the book. It would be cool if you could incorporate that whole concept of the two sunrises/sunsets (or was that in the book?). I forget, it was a long ago time since I read. I think Rama had two suns setting in opposite zeniths. Or maybe I'm mistaking it for The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I don't know... too many books I've read. I'm confusing each storyline with the other. Anyhow, you are one INSPIRATIONAL artist - I just love your science advocating themes!

Ooooh yesu! Eu me lembro desta ilustração divina! Você até me passou o título do livro, que era... 'A Odisseia'? Ou tô confundindo as coisas? No final das contas fui na biblioteca, esqueci o título e peguei algo completamente nada a ver: 'Viagem ao Centro da Terra'... OTZ Alguém me espanque, por favor... OTZ

Ah, I loved that book! This piece captures the feeling well, I think. Such a huge and manipulated landscape presented right before you while floating in space, it's hard to conceptualize. This is really fantastic!

Thank you Sir!

I love Clarke, but I haven't read Rendezvous with Rama yet, damn!

(I love his Time Odyssey, and I'm making my way through the massive bible that is his Short Stories collection!)

lovely art! Does the Monolith show up at all in Rama, or is this a hyrbid 'What if' scenario? :)

There are a few books that I didn't read yet. But I also love his skills to write a acurrate sci fi.
Rendezvous with Rama does not have the monolith, I put there to mix my two fav books from him.

Thank you Sir!
