Chalice Secrets by RaNuit Chalice Secrets by RaNuit
~ Some say that the world is filled with secrets and things that could or should never be explained. Chalice Well is one of those unsolved secrets that no one should ever dissect.
Some myths refer to Chalice Well as the Holy Grail, stating that the Lady of The Lake lays within the depths of the sacred water surrounded by the love of the Goddess and protected by the blade Excalibur waiting in silence until the time of Arthur's return to once more rule as King over the land.
Other myths speak of the well as holding the last few remaining testaments to the life of Jesus Christ, where the water houses the chalice which was used to catch the few drops of blood that fell from his wounds while on the cross, as well as being the place the nails that held him on the cross were laid to rest.

This painting was done on the myths of Avalon, Arthur and the sword ( because I'm an Arthurian nut ). It is based from the sketch I had done a while ago called Guardian of Avalon.

The Model is the ever beautiful and elegant `Elandria :iconelandria:

This is lovely, Angela! You're getting better and better! The only suggestion I would have is next time to darken the facial features just a bit so they stand out more, but great work!

yea, the skin is still an issue that I'm having... I got the hands done perfectly but I couldn't get the face to work out, i'm thinking I'll work backwards... instead of going with the medium to light tone first I'll start with the dark and then lighten up.
Thanks for the compliment and the suggestion, I appreciate it greatly Becca!!!
