Deviation Actions
Literature Text
I myself am a Christian. I believe that Jesus, God's Son, died for my sins as an individual. Sins that I committed, because I had the ability to choose, and I made the wrong decision. God told us in the beginning, that if we disobeyed, we would perish, and we chose to disobey anyway.
God loves us all, even those who choose to tell Him that he doesn't exist. That is why he is God, and we are not. We cannot comprehend why someone would love us, even though we don't love them back. We don't understand why someone would choose to die for us when we deserve to, but that is why we need a savior. It doesn't matter if you don't believe in God and Jesus. He still loves you. That's what is so wonderful about God.
Now to people who say they have never sinned. You don't have a choice in the matter. Sin was a disease that was inherited through our original parents, Adam & Eve. I don't like it either, I didn't ask to be born into a race that was doomed to die, but I have been. We are all compelled to rebel. The good news is, God supplied a way out, a way to make up for our Sin Nature, and it required a scapegoat. It required a sinless being taking on our sins, and paying the price that we were suppose to pay. When Jesus died on the cross, all of our sins were laid upon him. He was sacrificed for us, paying the price for us, so you wouldn't have to suffer the torment prepared for the Devil and his angels. You see, hell wasn't originally intended for us, (humans), it was prepared for the rebelling angels. But since we rebelled also, we forsake our right as rulers of this world, and chose to be like Satan. Therefore, God gave us his (Satan’s), judgment.
But who is God to tell me how to live my life? And if God is so loving, why is there all this suffering in the world? The way I see it, If God did create the universe, He should have the right to tell us how to behave. We listened to our parents, (well, some of you might have... ;o )when they told us the rules of their household, and if we didn't clean our room, we would have to sit in thecorner for 10 minutes while our brothers & sisters laughed at our misfortune, (yes, some of us have issues with our siblings) But how could we NOT expect a punishment if we didn't do what we were told? Wouldn't that make our parent's irresponsible? OF COURSE there would be problems in the house if we ALL weren't expected to take responsibility for our actions. Now take a look at the world around you, and tell me it's God's fault there is suffering in the world because he's not loving, and not because we won't stand up and take responsibility for our OWN
actions.
Let me illustrate a point. If your father were to show you a loaded gun, and then told you that if you were to put it up to your head and pull the trigger, that you would die, does that make him evil? Does that make him un-caring? All he did is told you what would happen if you did pull the trigger. He told you that because he loves you, and doesn't want you to perish, not because he wants to inflict a bunch of rules on you. I know this is cliche, but God tells us what to do because he knows what's best for you.
I could go on for hours, and would be glad to discuss this more, but I feel like I'm preaching, and I don't want you all to get the wrong impression. I'm just trying to show you how I see things.
And for all you out there who are now agnostic, or atheist, or some other religion, because some Christian insulted your personal beliefs, or shove God down your throat, Let me personally be the first to apologize. We as Christians are our own worst enemy. I know the way some professing Christians act embarrass God. I know I have. I'm not perfect, nor do I claim to be perfect. I'm just forgiven.
Please ask me your questions, I don't know everything, but I will try my darndest to find the answers, as long as you agree that there are some questions that will never be answered this side of eternity.
May God Bless and keep you all, even if you don't believe.
