I went out tonight, and I got drunk. Not pished, or hammmmered, just nicely drunk. This was because it was my sisters birthday. Tonight was the first night I've had fun in... forever? No, but a long time.
Was it because it was in Galway, rather than Cork? Was it because I didn't know most of the people there? Maybe it was just because I was with my sister?
Fine possibilitys all, but I suspect the real reason was that I spent most of my afternoon flipping through some old scribbles and thinking: "Shit. I have some damn good ideas here that I've been ignoring. I guess life isn't all bad."
You don't get to hear any of them though. Haw haw.
I probably won't get to do anything about them either, because in a couple of days I will be living it up in the centre of the universe: Boston, Massachussetts.
