Salamanca is a province of Castilla y León. Its capital city of the same name is famous for its architecture, its university, and its biting pears.
While Salamanca already has a flag, it’s just a crest on a plain field. I decided to spice it up a little. The colours blue, white, red, and yellow were taken from the province’s coat of arms. Displayed prominently in the center is a pear. The mouth of the pear is abstractly formed by bees and the traditional royal crown of Spain, both also taken from the coat of arms.
