Lensflares without filters

Lensflares are wonderful, but the ones filters produce get really old really fast. So here's a small set of instructions how to create them by hand. If I forgot anything or you want more detail, let me know. And I'd be happy to see what kind of lensflares you make.

Very useful. A suggestion; You need to create an HTML page with that content and those images and put in on your journal, like this example: yereverluvinuncleber.deviantar…

As it is an image it is inaccessible to search engines so it will never be flagged as being a useful resource on Google &c.

You're perfectly right, I absolutely should - so far I've been too lazy, the image making is already tried and easy.
Do you know if dA's tagging has any influence on search engine results?

Oh, I should think so. Search engines do like tags (at the moment) but they certainly like content. For all intents and purposes your tutorial has no content for a search engine to find, just an image... A good idea to convert it and add it to your journal. That is what journal entries are for, rich content.
