it was very sad to see the aerial images when they collapsed the carousel and the bumper cars when i heard about it. the arson too its all such a shame. I heard that in the fall they plan on razing the rest of the structures on the island. In the meantime a group of installation artists from brooklyn have been doing art pieces around, in, and on the cottages. hope to go photograph then this summer if they are still there
it is a theatre, lots of asylums and TB hospitals had them to provide entertainment to the patients who rarely left the grounds
