Provincial Flag(s) of Masbate

From the same scenario as the provincial coat of arms (Masbate and Sorsogon as a single province under the Kingdom of the Philippines and its federal-parliamentary form of government), which is within the universe where a direct descendant of proto-Philippine language became the lingua franca of Philippine archipelago, the Masbateño provincial is actually a modified adaptation of twelfth (and final) flag proposal selected the Minister of the (Spanish) Navy Antonio Valdés to present to King Charles III in 1785 to replace the war ensign at the time; the civil ensign retained that description, while its institutional counterpart added the provincial arms at the center.
