Belated Happy New Year (and advanced Happy Epiphany) everyone! I'll start 2017 with an all-new post:
In early December, I posted in the thread Awesome PODs that you wish got more attention, which includes the scenario that TBC (Tongyang Broadcasting Company) would not be absorbed by KBS (Korean Broadcasting System) in 1980. An interesting conversation was the result with fellow forum member zeppelinair; he suggested that the PoD behind my suggestion could be the earlier introduction of color broadcasting in the mid-1970s, specifically 1977-79. So, challenge accepted.
For this post, I took the design from two elements:
First, the very first logo of KBS Television Service: a shadowed variant of CBS Eye with an extension at the bottom right, symbolizing channel 9, the Korean public broacaster's frequency in Seoul; in fact, the logo survived in the main news bulletin until 1984. Second, the KBS corporate logo from 1973-84.
