Reduced to ruins by supernatural cataclysms, the city of Neverwinter rises from the ashes to reclaim its title as the Jewel of the North. Yet even as its citizens return and rebuild, dark forces pursue their own goals and vendettas, any one of which could tear the city apart.

This image gave me lots of fun elements to play with - crumbling epic architecture, crashing waves, and an Undead Dragon.

The arched road way provided a great device with which to draw the eye towards the focal point of the Dragon's head, whilst also giving us depth and scale. The spotlight on the distant towers helps frame the Dragon's head even as the saturated colours of it's eyes/mouth and drool pull the eye.

Details of the book can be found here: [link]

I also have details of the sketch stages to view on my Blog:

unable to critique you calligraphy creativity for your passion and desire to create the best and most realism inspiring visions your water is immaculate and surprising to find even more interest in the water as the skeletal creature finds a reason to start eating again or just to kill something for the sake of destruction is a noble entitlement for such a pivotal and provocative site. May your works continue to surprise even the ancient legends of imagery for the sake of giving inspiration for the cause of good work for many who view and are inspired by your work to continue like you have and ever shall be remembered

I just had an amazing idea for an encounter while looking at this picture.

Dragon's wings look amazing. The strips of skin really do look like they're flapping in the wind.

I really like what the repetition in the wings do for this composition.

Finally! So you are the awesome artist who created that epic poster for that D&D event!:heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart: I haven't had time to look for you myself, but people who saw the picture I took of the poster were nice enough to help me find you! Adding to my favs, and I have a question. Now that I have found you, would you like for me to remove the picture I took of the poster, or would it be alright for me to keep it up? I of course will edit the entry to direct people here and give you credit for such a fantastic piece of art!~
