My Bio
About me...

My name is Rajacenna, I'm 18 years old and I live in the Netherlands. I'm a self-taught artist, I started drawing almost 2 years ago and haven't stopped since. Drawing has become slowly a big passion for me.

I'm really grateful that I inspire so many people to draw too! I know how important it is to escape the world for a moment, drawing really helped me to get through the hard times.
Always do what you love!! Nothing else is more important than that...

My artwork

I am exclusively, and the youngest, represented by Artbox > centre for creation.

My drawings

I see my realistic drawings as a challenge to draw better every time that I make a new drawing. The things that I really wanna do in the future is making more fantasy art and creative drawings. I have so many ideas in my mind that I wanna draw. I wanna make art that really comes from my heart. My dream is to make art that gives other people hope or something where you can look at and escape reality for a moment. I still have a long way to go..

For my black and white drawings I use mostly B and 3B pencils and for darker areas 9B. For my colour pencil drawings I use different kinds of pencil brands. Faber Castell, Derwent and Prismacolor are really good brands.

A lot of people ask me how much time it takes me for making a drawing and that always depends on how much details I have to draw. How more I improve at drawing how longer it takes me. When I just started drawing it took me 20 minutes or sometimes an hour but my latest drawings take me around the 40 hours or maybe even more! Time is really important for making a good drawing and if you want to make everything perfect. I dont think I ever made a 'perfect' drawing yet but thats always my goal!

I draw mostly on A4 and sometimes A3. My goal is to make really big art in the future but painting with only pencils is a little madness, that would probably take me a lifetime! :XD: so I really want to start painting :D

What are my hobbies?

Drawing, writing and reading. When I do these things I feel like I'm in a place far away from reality...

What am I doing at the moment?

Working on new art...

Hello everyone! This is my very first journal! I saw that I've more than 10.000 pageviews, so I thought it would be the right time to make a journal. :D I'm really busy at the moment with studying for my exams and I'm still working on some new clothing designs, my new website where you can buy the clothes and other things will be ready before summer I hope. And I wanted to share my happiness with you: I went to an artshop yesterday and I bought some drawingpaper! Normally I worked on thick print paper made for text and photo's, It was quite a shock for me when I found out yesterday that I used the wrong kind of paper for my drawings :XD:.

Amazing Artist!
Hi :)

Before the invention of the camera became prevalent, portraits of people were all done with pencil/charcoal/chalk and/or pastels.  Those charcoal and pencil portraits looked exactly like a bloody photograph and the only way to tell it was done by hand is to examine the picture up close- then one can see the strokes.

As we know, back in those days people posing for portraits had to sit for a long time, lol... um.. even when the camera first was used people still had to sit for a very long time trying to maintain a pose. However, there was an artist who used to draw portraits for people, he had something of an eidetic memory.  During the morning hours he would have 4,5, or 6 families/people come in and sit down for portrait poses, then do a rough sketch of them and send them home.  Later, he would produce finished hand drawn portraits, that looked like a photograph...

Your work is very reminiscent of someone with an eidetic memory because the artist I mentioned above claimed he could literally project the image from his head onto the canvas and draw over that image, allowing him to produce vivid and extremely precise photorealistic art.  Is that kind of how you work? Some of your drawings look as if straight from a photo, lol, and they are vividly perfect.
Honestly, I can't tell the difference between your breathtaking masterpieces and real life. You are extraordinary and extremely talented, and I hope that you never stop doing what you love. Heck, you even got a picture with Justin Bieber with you, posing with your magnificent art. For a second, I actually thought that was your artwork too! Your amazing talent is just remarkable, and I am glad that you decided to share your beautiful talent with the world. You inspire 985,275,295,085,258+ people per day, just by them staring at your fascinating pictures. Your art is everyone's expectation in art; That's how well you draw. I'm not even kidding! I poured my heart out on this message, and everyone else has with their own to. But, promise me that you'll never stop doing what you love. <3
