Undergrowth

I tried that thing where you turn off color and try to draw? Idk what it’s called

It ended up with colors WAY more saturated than I usually do, as you can see

I honestly kind of like the grayscale version best though

This is the spirit/deity of the undergrowth in my story :3

Little excerpt-

She stepped out of the tangled forest with its shadow-colored trees, those same unusual trees that lined the village’s cottages and homes. Petrichor turned her gaze upon the broad meadow, drinking in the slate gray skies, smoky pink grasses and red-brown bushes topped with fog blossoms, and cloud-scent. She closed her eyes blissfully as a light mist began to fall, turned her head towards the deep clouds lit with cold sunlight from where it came. The young creature could see it all before her; her little cottage, sitting by the tiny stream, bordered by those fog blossoms. She would eat silverfins and mistcap soup every night, flavored with the herbs that grew bountifully in the smoky meadow. There was much the forest could offer for her; anything else she could trade with the townsfolk for.

A rare smile toyed at the corners of her mouth as she opened her silver eyes again. Once she had finished her journey, once she had returned Zephyr safely home to his father, she would live like that. She would be alone from all but the spirits and animals, just as she dreamed.
