Petrichor!

This is the ref for the main character in a story I’ve been working on! More on that later >:3

Anyways, Petrichor is a dragon who has lived in the lush, stormy forest and mountain ranges of a world I honestly don’t have a name for yet. She was gifted by her patron spirit, Rain, as a young dragonet with the ability to easily see into the spirit world, usually a gift only developed after years of practice and experience. Petrichor was inspired by this early on, developing an intense interest for the spirit realm. When her older siblings began to move out into the big city, seeking better educations and jobs, they were unable to take the treasured heirlooms of their family because they were considered illegal. Thus, they were all passed to Petrichor, because even her younger siblings already planned on moving to the city.

Now, she and her younger cousin Zephyr/Chinook (still deciding on name) travel through the misty mountains, hoping to document the spirits and given to Archivers in the city to preserve before it is lost to time. She documents them on the messy notebook pictured on the ref and other like it.

However, Zephyr/Chinook is only really tagging along because he hopes that the journey will bring him closer to his mother, whom he knows is a spirit (but not which one). Also, (very small teaser hehe) he has inherited a certain ability from his mother that plays absolutely zero role on the plot whatsoever. I swear it just exists for no reason and isn’t basically half the plot. And she very much enjoys the fog blossoms, (known in Aerchi, an old language of the mountains) as Angehgohte (which is ‘fog flowers’ in Korean, or as far as I could imitate with English lol)

Arghhhh this took WAY too long (5 hours, 14 minutes, to be exact) so I really hope people like it ㅠㅠ

If she exists in WoF (not at all because I want her to be in Haven Hollow Academy whaaat) she would probably be a LeafWing-MudWing hybrid who grew up with the MudWings and wants to share every aspect of her ‘home tribe’ with everybody. She, like in my original world version, would be documenting the tribe, mostly the coastal region in the foothills of the Claws of the Clouds mountains.

Yay I hope you like her! Because she might be my dragon/WoFsona now
