Light Falls

Derpy taking a dip in the aqueducts, can't say I wouldn't do the same for a nice view.
Fun but challenging piece, so many little buildings.

Hope you like it!

Another excellent piece. The skycape is well composed, with the buildings in the middleground providing a charming skyline, while the cloud structure in the far background is a testament to the immensity of the sky. The details of the piece are well balanced, with the viewer's eye being drawn to the lone figure bathing in the water (or perhaps swimming). All in all, the piece is well lit and rendered, with the dominant Light Falls casting a sense of imminent events - a storm, perhaps.

The only complaint I can state fairly is that Derpy's neck appears a bit too long for the style.

Wow... this is by far one of the best pony artworks I have ever seen in my whole life. I just simply adore how cute and adorable Derpy is, sitting there in the water and looking back at you. Simply love the details and colors in her wings, mane and tail, which are brilliantly done!

As for the background, wow... it's the most interesting thing in this entire artwork. I just can't imagine the amount of effort you have put in to paint everything, every single house, window and light! They are just simply DIVINE!

Then, you have the clouds of Cloudsdale above, which is also amazingly done! The clouds look so cool under this light scheme! It appears as though a nuclear explosion has happened in the far distance. Really very inspiring!

Overall, the colors and details are top notch!

By the way, did you know that I was also one of your viewers in your livestream on Picarto? I saw you paint the reflection of the water on those walls beside Derpy and all I can say is WOW! You have been a great inspiration to not just me, but many. By the way, just wondering, how long have you been painting these artworks?

Lastly, thank you for visiting my stream to see how I paint too. I feel so honored to be watched by you for that moment. However, I would also like to sincerely apologize for any inconveniences caused there, because my Wacom have problems, and my stream stops unexpectedly at unexpected times, causing the image in the stream to freeze.

Anyway, it has been great knowing you! Keep up the good works! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=":D (Big Grin)"/>
I will be adding you into my list of inspirers in my page

This is a sky/cityscape (Cloudsdale) image with a pony (MLP: FIM-Derpy) in the foreground. The beauty of the scene is in the complementary colors of blues and yellows. The background is a cumulus clouds held up by supernaturally large pegasus, looming over the mid ground and foreground. Light pours out of the background providing a luminescent lighting and the feeling of a storm approaching on the horizon. Despite this looming clouds, the mid ground is the classical "city is the sky" and it is a welcoming warm morning light glow. This mid ground draws the viewer to look closer at the fine detail the artist put into the piece. The foreground is the most detailed. The water's translucent appearance and the water's reflections are incredibly well done. The scrunchy faced pegasus appears to be flowing/swimming in the clouds. Just be careful with that lens flares... or are they bubbles?
This is so beautiful!

Loving this piece. Very much how I see Cloudsdale appearing in one of my writing worlds.

This is unreasonably gorgeous. You've created a city of wonder, drenched in history and majesty. It's awesome, in the classical sense of the word.

It's hard to ascribe a sense of history to a cloud city. But you really pulled it off here.

...under my personal top ten now ... too few artists include original building complexes ...  Derpy moves slow enough not to produce waves big enough ... preventing  the water reflections from appearing a bit shifted ... reminding me that I prefer a shower over a full bathtub ... except in that picture ... gongrats

I really like that thing in the background. Due to shape and consistency, I will now call it Thunderdome.
