I love the atmosphere of this one. It makes me think of a snowy night. The shadow and lighting are nicely done. It gives out a cheery atmosphere even though the overall color scheme is dark colors. The addition of many light and saturated colors is really well-done here.
My suggestion for further improvement is to add a bit of saturated colors to the shadow as well to make the overall color more cheery. And I think it will suit your style. And don't be afraid to paint the shadow in cell-shading style. Some well-defined shadow in its rightful place can really help accentuate the form.
I love how your works keep improving. So keep it up.
Thanks, Yeah I was thinking I need to push the saturation of shadows here a bit more but it just wasn't looking right so i chickened out and darkened it lol. I also debated cell shading the shadows but it was looking too harsh, it's just one of those things I really need to practice in order to be confident in it cause I do agree it would probably look better. But yeah thank you for the kind words and advice, I will take it to heart!
Yeah i haven't had a spring for a long time, the last time there was more then 2 weeks of spring I was on vacation... I miss it so much. is it too much to ask to have a bit of a buffer between freezing and boiling?
