All around me...

"...are familiar faces,
Worn out places, worn out faces,
Bright and early for the daily races,
Going no where, going no where.

Their tears are filling up their glasses,
No expression, no expression,
Hide my head I wanna drown my sorrow,
No tomorrow, no tomorrow.

And I find I kind of funny, I find it kind of sad,
The dreams in which I’m dying are the best I’ve ever had,
I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take,
When people run in circles its a very, very mad world,
Mad world..."

This was a test, I want to start trying a looser, more painterly approach to my work. Did no line art for this one, like I normally would, just blocking in shapes and refining. It's mostly referenced from a Chrysalis still. Pulled it off in roughly 5 hours, hope you like it.

I'm pleased to see a work of art based upon Jules' "Mad World".
Beautiful piece, the depth in her eyes is astounding. I absolutely adore the way you painted her reflection.
Truly an alluring work.
I like to base a few of my softer works on "Mad World", as well. I actually have a deviation titled by that!
Great work. :)

Wow. I thought it was a photo just then. It's very close to perfection on the photorealism scale in my opinion. Even though you mention being looser with your brush strokes, it captures the light and ambience. this gives it both a stylised look and realism at the same time.

i hope she exists in real life...
AMAZING work, specially the depth created in her skin, the color is almost surreal, inspiring.

I keep checking the descriptions of your work to see what you did to take the photo... then I notice it was drawn. Incredible work, near photo-realistic.

5 hours? omg, I think it would take me longr for sure. What's more, I wouldn't achieve this level of perfection yet.
Congrats
