YOU WILL NEED THE XVID CODEC TO VIEW VIDEO.(moved up here so people will stop sending me notes on this)

YOU WILL NEED TO DOWNLOAD MY BLUEPRINTS FROM MY GALLERY.!
www.deviantart.com/deviation/2…
YOU WILL NEED TO KNOW THE P2P TECHNIQUE HERE:
www.deviantart.com/deviation/2…

ok, its in two parts, the first part is already uploaded, sorry guys, near the end of the first part, my frustration with life caught up with me, but it didnt overtake me as I still managed to come back and finish the partial tutorial that i had promised a while ago in the second part.  Well you can probably tell from my voice that I'm not really emotionally healthy, but oh well, I hope this helps, right now I am uploading the second half, so hang on for that one.

EDIT!:
THE NEW LINK FOR THE FILES IS HERE:
files.filefront.com/murcielago…

Its FREE SO DONT EXPECT TOO MUCH, IF YOU BITCH ABOUT ME NOT DOING CERTAIN THINGS, SHUT UP, ITS FREE BE HAPPY, OR I'LL STOP SUBMITTING TUTS FOREVER, and start charging!

Sorry non DSL and cable users, but I cant make it a smaller size,
Recommendation: if you have either dual monitors or a widescreen, this will help you alot as you can watch and do the tutorial at the same time. Also if you can make your screen resolution higher than 1024x768, do so.

Dont try to really listen to what I say, but do have your speakers up, not that high though, anyway try to listen but more than that, try to copy what I do, i hope this helps you guys out, and remember share this as well, does anyone know where I can submit this video tutorial at? like are there any good c4d forums i can use? EDIT: I asked c4dcafe to host it.

The reason why its a partial tutorial, is because i hate copy cats, my usual style is teaching someone how to make about 35-50% of the car then have them go off and use what they just learned and see what they end up with, I'm not too fond of accurate cars, if they are customized, even just a little bit, it tells me that the creator truly is an artist and not just another 3D modeler.  but if its your dream to make an exact car, then by all means go ahead.

Requests:
dont try to give this to people and say that you made it., but I do want you to share this all over the web though, download it and share it with the world please!, however do not archive both the video and the blueprints togther, just give them a link to come here for the prints and for the p2p tutorial.

give me credit if you decide to use what you learned in the video.
Translate it into other languages and hit me up if you do this!
Send me a note of your wips so I can come and check it out ok?!
later!

FREE BLOWJOBS!!!
ok now i have your attention, um, donations are good, if you want to donate some money to me and you live in the states, send me a note and i'll send you my address, if you live elsewhere, and still want to donate, send me a note, we can still probably work something out.

Excellent tutorial, helped me out tremendously. I'll upload my WIP tomorrow and you can see it. I'm a beginner and it was real easy to follow along. Thanks once again.

dude did you go to [link] and ask them if you can post your tut there? or at this site [link]
i'm sure they will be glad to take and share it.

Thanks man, this is just what i need :D
Even though its for Cinema 4D, its still very useful for me.

well, as long as you're able to make vertices out of the blue, its pretty much the same thing, unless you are using rhino, then there is a much easier way to make cars in rhino that destroys all other car modeling techniqe in any program.
TomerM's avatar
No, i use Maya.

What is the technique in Rhino?

thanks for your interest, i hope you dont get lost, actually im sure you wont, because it seems like you have some c4d experience already, so im sure you wont, what i recommened is to watch the video halfway through first, then restart it and try to follow along, that way you kknow whats coming up and dont have to act like noobs and just give up and quit, noobs meaning guys that warez the program right off the net and think that making cars are easy and that they can be just as good as the other guys within a few days. later and keep up your cool work man! i love you orange cube thingy!
b1u3's avatar
yeah, no problem, i hope it helps to make better stuff in C4D :D i will do what you recomend, and im glad you like my cube thing, i just hopes it doenst take more than 7 hours to render..

im sure it wont, as long as you follow some key things: dont make it over 150,000 polygons(meaning the exterior with hypernurbs included ofcoarse), Dont use a hypernurb subdivision count over 2, use 3 if you'd like but I recommend learning how to make your models look clean and smooth only using a hypernurb value of 2(for both the top and bottom boxes). also dont group hypernurbs like what some noobs do, dont put a hypernurb in another hypernurb, if you have done this and don't realize why your computer is going slow, i hope you figured out why soon. another good idea is learn how hypernurbs work, this can be done by either reading up on it in the c4d manual, or just by fooling around with a nurb and a primitive made editable and a knife tool. Also to cut down on polygons when using hypernurbs, learn how to use Hypernurb Weights(this is also in the manual). later.

yeah, i think im doing good on it, i kinda going slow on it, but i think it looks good, i have added a wip pic in my journal, just the front end, oh and do you know how to make that shader thats like a light gray, and stands out, like some models i have seen, where there all gray..

thanks for the good info too.

nope, I have no idea how to do sparkly shiny shaders, sorry, its probably a certain SLA shader mixed with a specific lighting setup I think, thats gotta be it. also atleast you are going with the model by the video and not like someone else whom is going on their own and having a really bad looking car, I hate those cocky ass noobs. anyway keep it up, its looks nice so far! later, I gotta go.

PS......by light grey, exactly what are you referring to? got a ref image i could look at? maybe a couple of them? now if you are talking about clay, thats easy, you just need a really fast computer....lol.(seriously, you do.)
b1u3's avatar
well, to tell the truth, im not quite exatly following along with the tutorial, im cleaning it up after making it, but still following along at the same time.

and as for the gray shader, i was talking about this: https://www.deviantart.com/view/32131283/ the car is all gray, and yet still has shadows.

and about that clay mat', is this what your talking about, like in your renders?: https://www.deviantart.com/view/31029719/ and this?: https://www.deviantart.com/view/31264888/

i have a somewhat fast computer, a 1.6ghz p4, 1gig of ram, and an ati radeon 9800 pro 128mb, wich has almost nothing to do with rendering lol..
