The Power we need, not The Power we deserve

Daily reminder that in this modern age where technology is basically a superpower, the true superpower is actually "The ability to take other's differing opinion without being personally offended by it".

It is said whoever can master this superpower will become the true hero of peace and happiness!

If you are interested in my comics, you can follow it at Tapas. Quick! While I still care more about audience engagement rather than the potential of making money out of it.

So true!

I'd never want the power to read minds; I have enough trouble keeping up with my own.  ;p

I started to write a (fiction) story about a protagonist who gained the power to read minds; didn't sit down to outline it out, I just wanted to see where the story and characters would go.  Welp...the protagonist was nearly driven insane because they couldn't turn the ability off and was bombarded by other people's thoughts everywhere they went.  I stopped writing it because though I was trying to find a way for them to control the power (via meditation, if I remember what I wrote correctly...this was years ago), it was looking like they would either go insane or become a hermit...and I prefer writing happier endings.

It's a pretty common trope that people who can read mind are massively burdened by it.

Well, we are living in an age now where everyone can do that so....
