Bird of Paradise Takes Flight by RaCorb Bird of Paradise Takes Flight by RaCorb
The brilliant colors of the Bird of Paradise flower captivated my attention when I first moved to Southern California. This is my interpretation of what this flower might become if it could really take flight.
This image actually sat around in my collection of work for a long time until I finally matted it using a medium blue matte with a dark blue undermatte. The image came to life and has a promenant spot in my dining room.

Very nice indeed. One would think it was illustrated and not a picture.

I like it very much! It would be nice if you upload it in 1024x768, that I could use it as a wallpaper! =)

What did you use to make it? The colors Are vibrant, makes it look like it was done in Illustrator but the style it's done in might Suggest something like Photoshop or Paint Shop pro. I would say it could be a painting but no man alive can creae that perfect of a gradient, and it's in the Art-Photography Section... Pretty nonetheless :D :D

Hi there, the image was originally a bird of paradise bloom that I shot on a digital Nikon. It was then manipulated to its current state using Photoshop yes.
