Turquoise-Jade - Missingno. by RacieB Turquoise-Jade - Missingno. by RacieB
Although its species was officially discovered years ago, this Pokémon remained a mystery. Using brand new technology, the Mysterio Scope finally allows its true form to be revealed. The usual garbled appearance of Missingno. is caused by a powerful psychogenic shield which distorts the minds of viewers. This shield also has detrimental effects on electronics including storage PCs and Pokédexes, as a result its true height and weight are still unknown. While this species is among the highest ranking in its attack stat, its defenses are abysmal, explaining the need for such a powerful shield.

I imaged Missingno something like this if it would become a Pokémon for real (or a Fakemon).

I would really enjoy this being real. I would even go as far to say that Missingno could potentially be Legendary. Could you imagine a movie where a city's glitching out and this thing's at the center of it all? That'd be pretty great.

I would love to see the show characters' reacting to glitches.

Like that one video where Mario, Steve, and Master Chief have to stop a glitch.

A Very interesting take on idea of MissingNo.

For those not in the know, MissingNo aka Missing Number is a glitch in the original game to put in small words trying to pull stored data where there is none. The reason why some associated it with Kangaskhan is because Kangaskhan is the 2nd pokemon programed into the game. And yes it pulled out random stats including being 400ft tall. & yes could screw up your hall of fame data. But MissingNo is mostly famous for not only having his backwarks L shape but looking like the 2 skeletons from pewter city museme as well as the un-IDed ghosts in Lavender Tower, but his most awesome fetcher of all was that by encountering it & running the 6th item in your bag would become infinite & oh look we haven't used our master ball & we still have some left over rare candy & gold nuggets!

That is a reference to the type MissingNo has in R/B : 3 He is listed as Bird/Normal, being that bird is just a beta type left in the game

I totally agree! Doesn't seem likely, thought : P I guess the best that could be done is a fan game feature a "glitch" trainer class abd pokemon XD THAT would be awesome.

MissingNo.: Data Scramble Pokemon

This large bird Pokemon has the ability to utilize powerful psychic forces to disguise itself as a jumbled mass of pixelated mist to hide it's true form. Those same forces also damage nearby computer equipment.

Despite not being a Water type Pokemon, MissingNo. is skilled at using Water Gun and can use it twice in a row by controlling how much water it expels from a large water bladder between it's lungs, making it a very efficient user of Water type attacks in general.

I really like your design :) I see what you did there... Nice "?" shape with the interpretation of the colour and it's type :E And that blank gaze...
And I really like the story you attached to it. It make a lot of sense. I wish Nintendo would use your idea...

:iconstrandedgeek:

technically no, that's mostly cause in the game's programing Kangaskhan is the 2nd pokemon programed into the game the first being Raydon.  Missingno. actually reveals quite a bit of what went into the making of the game

I don't know how I regressed to my childhood-nostalgia of pokemon or what possessed me to search for missingno., but I'm glad I did- this description should totally justify making missingno an actual pokemon.

Missingno isn't like that! It was the first made Pokemon. Remember the golden Ho-Oh that Ash sees? That was "Missingno.". It became Ho-Oh later. =D

Ho-Oh was always Ho-Oh.

There were more Pokémon made for Red/Green than ended up being used in those games, the blank spots in the data for the ones that didn't make the cut (most of which probably went into Gold and Silver, like Ho-Oh) were filled with MissingNo. as a debug feature.

There were about 40 of these designated spaces, meaning 1st gen was initially intended to have around 190 Pokémon in it.

You're wrong. It was on Nintendo's website. Missingno. was the pure golden Ho-Oh that Ash sees in the first episode. it was supposed to be a Legendary bird along with the other three in Kanto.
Anyways, I'm in support of its Backward L shape form.

The only thing Nintendo ever said about MissingNo. in an official fashion was that you shouldn't try to catch it and if you do, to release it [link]

Ho-Oh never had anything to do with MissingNo. It was in the episode to show that there were more Pokémon than the 151 ones we initially knew about, same as Togepi's role later in the show.
