Allo! I'm an introverted chick who is in love with doodling and making artsy fartsy stuff. In every single job I've had in the past, I was the one hoarding all the post it notes, note pads and markers, so I could doodle and stick them on my cubicle walls. I never realized HOW much I was passionate about illustration until I noticed that the highlights of my days consisted of my lunch breaks and the end of the day, because it meant I could doodle and draw!
This year, I finally took the big leap and I am pursuing my dreams of being a freelance illustrator/artist. I am fully aware of the crazy amount of hard work and hours I will have to put in, however, I am doing something I absolutely adore and not to be cheesy but that is all that counts!
I am based in Ottawa, Ontario. I live with my Mafia; Vinny the BF and my two minous Frankie and Tony.
I am available for commissions and projects!

Fern Laverte loves plants. She lives in a greenhouse, alongside her favourite shrubbery friends and hopes to one day grow the most magical herb.

One day my friends casually suggested we play Dungeons and Dragons. My first thought, was uhh? That weird Demogorgon game those kids play on Stranger Things?
Well, apparently it’s much more then that and it’s a very imaginative storytelling fantasy game where you get to create your own character. My fire was ignited and I went above and beyond while creating my character - to the point, where I had wayyyy too much backstory and it went past the realm of the D&D world.
Nevertheless, I took the opportunity to get into the fantasy digital art world and created this kickass character name Anahita Witte Haai.
Her backstory (it doesn't fit the structure of D&D but I don't care! I kept the storyline for myself )
Anahita’s father was a poor Water Genasi. He lived on the Coast of Cordelia near The Sea of Swords. He had a small lighthouse in a quiet village named Mal De Mer. He was a skilled artisan and an avid sailor. He owned a small sailboat that he navigated through the seas, in search of small treasures he could use to craft jewellery and other useful tools for his villagers. His daughter, Anahita was born through an oceanic pact that her father made with a Siren. Anahita developed the same strong water elementals as her father like water navigation, storm prediction, wave control and a 6th sense called Ampullea of Lorenzini. This sensory ability is seen in sharks; it detects electromagnetic fields that fish or other beings create underwater. As such, the shark was a very important animal and spirit guide in both Anahita and her father’s lives. They routinely went out at sea and swam with the Great White Sharks, which were commonly seen in their area.
Anahita’s father was very adamant that her daughter develop her mind and abilities, as he did not want her to become like him - a poor peasant using extraordinary gifts to create mundane trinkets for human folk. For this reason, Anahita was enrolled in the School of Evocation in which, she learned how to control her water elemental skills and study Arcana. As an avid reader, she devoured all books relating to spells, magic, lore and languages, and such excelled as a wizard. However, her mentor, an old Sorcerer was speechless when Anahita instinctively knew the language of Abyssal – the language of demons.
On a stormy day, Anahita’s father went out to sea in search of rare abalone to make a special necklace for her birthday. Time had passed, yet her father never showed. Worried, Anahita went out to sea and called upon her white sharks for help. Shockingly, no sharks appeared amidst the dark and ominous sea. It was at this moment, that Anahita knew something had happened to her father and a bigger force then herself was the culprit.
