Don't be ashamed of liking the film, Carrick. I think it's cool that you like the movie!
I watched it a few months ago and... while it’s not awful as Dawn of Justice but it’s still such a disappointing movie. I’m sorry, I tried to like this movie, I really do. Now don’t get me wrong, there are few moments I do from the movie like that mid-credit scene where Superman and The Flash having a race, that got me some good laughs, but aside of that, it’s overall a very mediocre, disjointed, underwhelming, and complete mess movie.
Keep in mind just because I like it doesn't mean I think it's good.
So I guess it’s your guilty pleasure, right?
I guess you could say that, yeah. Even though it's a total mess, there were plenty of legitimately good parts. Character interactions, some set pieces, nice acting, and the occasional funny quip.
I guess. It’s just I was expecting more from it like something big or epic but it ends up being an average superhero movie. Not the best, not the worst, just average. I still have problems with The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg’s introductions and Superman’s return though.
That's what happens when you skip the solo stuff and go right to The Avengers. At least it wasn't Suicide Squad.
The reason why Suicide Squad works for me but not Justice League because it knew it doesn’t want to take itself too seriously, just turn off their brain and have fun with it. Plus, I want something to lighten up the mood after going through all the drama from the first two DCEU movies.
To be honest, this coming from a guy who enjoys Suicide Squad as his guilty pleasure. Yes, it’s stupid and makes no sense, but I can’t help it for having fun watching this movie.
I have not seen the film yet so I don’t have an actual opinion here. Can it actually be better than Wonder Woman, a film that has been critically lauded by everyone, but instead I find to be average?
