No, he is letting them free - he has box and trys to put them on tree.
Where I live the fireflies just flash on and off like old-style christmas tree lights. I didn't know that there are varieties that stay lit for several seconds. It's easier now to see how you've been able to capture such beautiful images that fill your gallery.
