Stage 51: After the Fall
Narrator: When we last left off, Abanor carried out his attack on Corinth Village right on schedule, and with the Spectres and the Tzakandi keeping the Adepts busy on opposite sides of the village, Abanor headed directly to Zoran’s hut, where the two brothers would duel one last time. Meanwhile, Keron and Bathory were beginning to gain the upper hand over Quenn and Marina, but with too much at stake, Quenn and Marina managed to rally back, forcing the two Spectres to retreat after Bathory had been injured. Also, Keith tried the free the villagers from the grasp of the Tzakandi, but just before a Tzakand could threaten the life of a child, Brandon managed to arrive, helping Keith fight off the Tzakandi. However, everyone in Corinth Village wasn’t in the clear just yet, as the Kezreth loomed overhead, preparing its energies to fire. At the church, the Adepts and their allies set an evacuation plan into motion that would save everyone in the village in case the
Stage 49: Countdown to Ruin, Act I
Narrator: When we last left off, two days remained before Abanor would use the Kezreth to begin his attack, and the Adepts were all still hard at work as they trained to turn aside the incoming threat. Meanwhile in the Underdark, Aodh finished applying the Kezreth’s weapons, and Abanor wanted to test the Kezreth immediately to make sure everything was in working order. After the Adepts finished their training for the day, they held a discussion over lunch as they wondered what would be the more effective solution in stopping the Kezreth. Keith remained adamant about the more obvious answer, which was to launch a raid on the Underdark and sabotage the Kezreth. Tensions rose, with both sides getting into an argument, which ended in a bitter fallout. Keith, having feigned leaving Corinth Village, began his raid on the Underdark. However, no sooner did Keith arrive in the Underdark that he immediately ran into trouble; first in the form of the Tzakandi
Stage 47: Counting Down the Days
Narrator: When we last left off, Zoran told the Adepts of his past. After being given his humanity by the Creator, Zoran came up with his own plan to help stall the clock in order to buy time for the Creator to train her first Adepts. Zoran came across four young mercenaries after seeing them dispatch a large group of bandits. Offering to teach them how to wield Light Elchemy, Zoran trained the quartet, eventually christening them as the Knights of Faith. Their first battle at Chartreux Hill saw them face off against the Illithids for the first time. The Knights of Faith fought to prevent the Illithids from reaching the village below the decline, barely succeeding. Over three years, the Knights of Faith, along with Zoran, began to gather a following and rallied the forces of the mainland to join the battle that would take place near Sapphyr Town. However, Abanor soon took action to destroy the Knights of Faith from within, capturing one of them and
Stage 43: The Gauntlet, Act I
Narrator: When we last left off, Quenn began the final portion of his trial to master the Ancient Light, which turned out to be a battle between the darker half of his conscience, who introduced himself as Nneuq. Nneuq then charged at Quenn, intent on taking control of Quenn’s body. Meanwhile, the Adepts were taken to Gravestone Mountain, where Abanor planned to execute them before the entire world. Abanor also placed the whole of humanity on trial, promising to unleash his Project Kezreth upon the planet within ten days. As Quenn’s trial continued, Nneuq eventually managed to get the upper hand, bringing Quenn to his knees. Nneuq then began to question Quenn’s ability to stand at odds he couldn’t possibly face, but in the end, Quenn’s motivation to help his friends would soon find him worthy of wielding the Ancient Light. At Gravestone Mountain, Abanor questioned why the Adepts would continue fighting for a world that didn’t care for its own well-being.
Stage 42: Quenn’s Battle
Narrator: When we last left off, Quenn received a new resolve after speaking with the spirit of his old friend Maggie, successfully unlocking the final node in the process. However, in the Underdark, the Adepts weren’t as lucky, as their escape attempt had been thwarted, and they were captured once again by Abanor and the Spectres. Abanor gave the Adepts their first look at the process of ceremorphosis, which he demonstrated on the captive Zithell. The Adepts could only watch in horror as the young Svirfneblin and the bonding Illithocyte both died as the process took place. Abanor then revealed his spite for the Adepts, accusing Zoran and the Creator for using children to fight their battles. Abanor then ordered for the Adepts to be placed in their cell again in preparation to be moved to Gravestone Mountain, which would be the site of the Adepts’ execution before the entire world. In Corinth Village, Propheci, unwilling to lose any more of her friends
