My workspace (2015) by QuentinGG My workspace (2015) by QuentinGG
I recently upgraded my PC hardware (first time since 2008).
We can't see the Computer itself in the picture, but it's not the most interesting :)
Well, actually it is :D So, in a Bitfenix Ghost I have an Intel Core i7 Extreme 5820K @ 3.3GHz, 32Gb of DDR4 RAM, 2x ASUS STRIX GTX970 4Gb GPUs, A Professional grade SSD and 2x2Tb mirrored HDDs. It's now running Windows 7 Ultimate x64, and I'm probably going to upgrade it to Windows 10 if it delivers.

I got this configuration to be able to handle heavy 3D scenes in Blender and HD/2K/4K video editing/post-production. I must say it does the job :)

On the picture you can see my good old dual 26" screens, now monted on a dual VESA Bracket, alongside with a Wacom Cintiq 13HD, a sober chiclet keyboard and a Logitech G700s mouse.
The latest addition to this configuration was a MASSIVE "mouse" pad: the Aorus P3 Extended which actually is a meter long. VERY handy to move the cintiq around without loosing the ability to use my mouse when I want to, and it gives a better grip than my desk.

Well, that's it.

Have you thought about overclocking your cpu?

Since you are doing 3d it will benefit you alot.

Yes, that thought have crossed my mind, but in the end I have no need for it,
as I (almost) render everything on GPUs: it's 4 to 8 times faster with Blender :)
