My Bio
To rest is easy. To work, there's the thing that mangles jaws in gritting teeth, raises hackles against the dam, against the block of water that heckles sleep, hassles the moving of the grass. I am the letter Q, all for quintessence and disreputable qualities. I am Quemaqua, a meaningless word awash in definition. Give me comments, tell me I'm your favorite, sing me the sums of songless tunes. Pass the llamas, the subscriptions, and let's stay to salt the ego's wounds.

Hey everyone! It's been ... a lot of years. For those without the attention span to read all this, I'll summarize here by saying you can find me now at Bookruptcy.com, on Instagram, and on Twitter. Come say hello! Like most everyone that I used to know and love here at DA, I have moved on, mostly to my own website. Which isn't to say that I'm closing my account and disappearing. I still love to come back every few years and click around to see who may or may not still be alive and kicking, and to drop a message or two on pages of people who in all probability will never see them. I went back to school after moving from California to Texas a number of years ago, and continued the journey back to California, where after living for a summer in China and a year in Japan, finally, at long last, finished my undergrad in Asian Studies and Religious Studies. I'm now back attempting to find full time work, which as a writer with tons of competition during a global pandemic where everyone is

Because it's been an age and a half, I figured I should let you guys know what's happening, for those remaining few who care. I've had heart troubles. You can read about those here: http://bookruptcy.com/2014/01/25/where-theres-smoke/ and here: http://bookruptcy.com/2014/02/06/frankenheart/ Which brings me to the new website, since apparently I haven't posted a link here. If you want to find me, you can now do so at Bookruptcy.com - the old website sort of died a horrible death, which meant I had to start over, and that's explained in more detail here: http://bookruptcy.com/2013/12/02/bookrupt/ Is that it? I don't know. Honestly, there's p

But despite not being dead, I haven't been around hardly at all. I know, this isn't new, but what's new is that I'm going back to school and this is what's currently eating up all my time. Doing very well and enjoying the hell out of it, despite the difficulty and the fact that it means I have zip in terms of free time. You may also have noticed that my website has been suspended seemingly forever at this point, and this relates to the fact that every time it goes live again, it comes under attack by malicious bots which take it over and add viruses and phishing ploys to it, thus my host re-suspends it. I've tried all kinds of security measu

Hello, my old friend. I'm still of this world. I hope you are doing fine. There's perhaps a haiku or two left in me, but it's been so long I don't know if I can still conjure one up. Long days and pleasant nights to you.
It's good to know you're still around. I'm doing quite well. I did 2 years of college, and am attempting after a little over a year off to do a couple more. I moved back to California after 4 years in Texas and will hopefully be going to CSU Chico in the spring. Once I'm done, hopefully will move to Japan (if only for a while) to teach English or do something or other. I don't do much writing these days, at least of the poetic (or fictional) variety, though I do some freelance nonfiction writing and am doing some editing for a small website. Amazing how the time goes. I come back here periodically and never do anything but just poke around and miss people. So nice to hear from you. :) How's life been treating you?
Happy birthday!! :cake:
Thanks, love. =)
thanks for faving!:)
Hello. I came to tell the whole world that I love you. You're the most beautiful part of every day. <3
