"Scritchy-scratchy"?

Well... It sounds interesting, but I'm not sure what that means.

QueenslandChris's avatar

Sorry mate, it was just a joke with a friend. It refers to the white ink pen I used. I used a Uni-Ball Signo in white. I can send you a link if you're interested.

Tinselfire's avatar

Ah, I see. Using a Sakura Gellyroll myself, though not nearly with this level of proficiency.

I've used the Sakura microns but had trouble with flow when working with paints. I found the Uni-balls because they don't react with a fixative spray. I've checked out your gallery, I think you're being modest. :D You have skills. :D

Tinselfire's avatar

Why, thank you, and likewise <3 But was thinking of white liners especially - I got bad motor skills, so anything with a ball point leaves scratches for me.

Curious you'd say that, since one of my favourite things about Microns is they stick nicely on anything from coloured pencils to dry pastels. I prefer Mitsubishi liners overall since they are a lot more durable, but they clog up immediately if you so much as get some pencil dust on them.

QueenslandChris's avatar

That is odd about the microns. They write for me for a bit then the flow stops. I'm using water colors and acrylic paint like water colors on paper. Maybe that makes the difference. Or maybe it's the really fine point tips that I'm using.

I've never heard of a Mitsubihi pen. I'll have to look into it.
