Yep, another cover for the "Five Comic Covers" challenge on ConceptArt.org...
Aaaand the brief for this cover was... "Tattoo".
Yup. That's it. The rest was up to us. If only my real clients were that flexible.
So of course I had to make yet another overly-complex and macabre cover out of it. Blood! Drama! Lurid sunsets! Way too many spirals! Wheee!
(Actually, I wasn't thrilled with what I originally posted for the challenge, so this is very heavily reworked and revised... I think I must have repainted all the rocks and most of the sky by now, besides screwing around extensively with the corpse and tattoos...)
