The Spider by Quarl The Spider by Quarl
*Portfolio Piece*

A little doodle I did last year. It's a pencil drawing, done on a piece of paper that was 8 1/2 by 11 inches. Enjoy it.

I didn't see that film. I got carded and I flipped a bitch on the lady that wouldn't let me in, even though she just let two 5th graders in right before me because she "knew them." When I finnaly got the manager out I said that I wasn't even interested in seeing the movie anymore. I just wanted to see the lady working fired. That movie theater has pissed me off for years, and now that im finnaly allowed to see R movies, I just don't give a fuck anymore. I still sneak in.

i got carded too! but lucky me my boyfriend went in first (he's only 17 told her he was 18, she asked for his card and said he didn't have it and she let him in) and then when i went up to get a ticket i told her i was 18 and she was like "NO. CARD" and i was all "bitch please, you let him in without a card" and she was like "NO. YOU'RE SO WRONG" and i was like "no. let me in." and she did.

at the theater i kinda work for, we don't care who comes in. unless like youre 12 and want to see an R rated movie or something. lol.

Well, it sucks because I usualy go to see movies alone. I love cinnematography. I even thought about going to college for it. Now you tell me how you think I feel, after waiting months to see a movie by a director I really like, and get denied because im not with daddy dearest? It's lame, and retarded. One day I'm going to get a projector in my room, and im going to get a friend on the inside to steal me the reels to all the movies as they come in. That way I don't have to fork out money to talentless movie corperations. Honestly, if you want to support a director, and not the theater, wait for the movie to come out on DVD, and let the masses sway the box office.

Does any of that rant make sense?

your rant does make sense.

however, movie theaters holds my attention more. it's bigger, it's louder, i can't get up and start holding a conversation with someone willingly.but yeah. it's totally worth the money as well getting the DVD with all the extra footage they usually put on there anyway.

Thank you. Truth is, the paper got resized when I uploaded it. The real one is much smaller. Like, 8x11. Printer paper basicly.

Now that's a very unique piece of work. They may be squiggles but they're very well-designed! Great details! Good job on this!

The details are spectacular and, kudos for you for having the patience.
I like the lack of color, also; with color, it'd be mildy overpowering. ;P
Wonderful, wonderful job. :)

Hey thanks for that, im glad you took the time to really look at this one and think about it. To be honest, I didn't use colors because it never even came to my mind to use colors, but I still agree with what you have to say about that.

Awesome doodle, actually this would make a good tattoo for someone's whole back... if only they could stand the pain of having it done. :)

love your detail..........i recommend using pen for these kind of works (either felttip or ballpoint). I find ballpoint gives these type of works much more contrast and depth :P

While pen is good and all, I still prefer the pencil. Erasing mistakes is a great way to make things not look bad :omfg: . But i'll take your advice and try it out next time I do something like this.

yeah i find that pen is a very unforgiving medium.........the best solution iv found is just to do the lineart with pencil first, then go over general linear with pen before going into finer details. Im yet to make a mistake using this method:)
