Drop by Quarl Drop by Quarl
A large drop off. Thats me in the picture (I didn't take the picture in case your wondering), but lets face it, with out me in there, there would be no picture. It looks a bit funny, but thats because I tic taked over the rail via the wall. It was a really scary leap of faith. I also have a sequence shot of this if anyone is interested.

I don't know where on Deviant art there might be more parkour pics, but you can visit the links section on my website and see a ton of cool videos... [link]

Just follow the directions and surf around a bit. Good stuff.

I really like this picture. The tones and simplicity works well. Though wish it was cropped a bit on the left side. =D

Yeah,...well, lets just think of it as character...lol.

Also, a little hint if you ever decide to take pics of people jumping off of things. Make sure they don't blend into their backround, or this will happen :thumb29726814:

Oi. Hope you didn't break any legs while attempting this.

You know, I've always wanted to do that. Is it really worth it? =P

Yeah, it's so much fun. The only set backs would be that you have to be in the best shape of your life, and when you get old your legs explode. But other than that it's all good. If you feal the nead, google parkour. Or you can visit my website and check out the links section [link] . It's a real sport. Good stuff.

PARKOUR! I just found out about right before reading your reply...yes, it is an awesome sport of sorts. Started in France, from what I've read.

But, yeah. I don't think I'll be leaping any railings when I'm 87. Unless I get sick of the nursing home, and want to go out with a splat...augh, that's gruesome.

ha, yeah. I know what your saying. While it doesn't really happen as often as you would like to think, people do get really hurt in the sport...erm... [link] yeah...

I love the textures, and the harsh feel of this photo. Something wants me to crop out the bottom of the image so that you don't see any ground, creating the feeling that he is jumping forever. Give it a try, you might be surprised by the result.

This is a pretty cool picture. But I'd like to see who took it get the credit. It's nice you're in the photo, but that doesn't make it your work. At least put their name in the description or something

Sinh Doung. He's this guy...[link]

He doesn't have a deviant account. Plus we all take collective credit anyways. We all take photos, we all do a bit of the filming when were working on videos, we all take part in the photoshop process, we all work on the website, and we all do the stunts, so we all understand just how hard it is to make a good shot "a good shot". Without the stuntman, the picture is just a landscape, which isn't bad, it's just not what we enjoy producing.

>.<

shudderful

but definately a cool picture, just so long as I'm not the one that was jumping.

haha. I love it when people look at this pic and immediatly think pain. Fact is, after doing it 100 times, learning how to roll out of falls, and running cross country/ track to build up the old calf/ankles/everything, drop offs just don't seem to hurt so much. In fact, it's so much fun.

I see, I guess that makes sense, but to peope like me who are weak and have no physical ability whatsoever, the thought conjures images of twisted ankles and of pain. XD

O well, still good picture XD

Ok, you got me interested now, how in the world did you get the idea to do this? XD I am interested in that sequence shot thing.

I once jumped off the roof of the first floor room, that was quite painful. Did it hurt when you landed? & what do you mean by tic taking the wall?

Tis my website dedicated to the sport of Parkour/free running. It's a sport. If you want to see some crazy videos, go to the links section of my website and follow the directions. Trust me, it's a crazy sport.

And a tic tak is when you "wall run". I only took one step though because I didn't feal like pushing my luck and not getting enough hight to clear the rail. I also have a sequence shot of this pic on my website so please check it out.

No, foolhardy is doing a flip off of a park bench from a sprint and landing on your ankle.

ha, yeah, I think i'll post it next week when I get back on my computer, and to be honest, it wasn't so much a leap of faith. I knew I could make it because I took a few practice runs. The trick is to know how to roll out of a fall so that your don't kill your ankles. Also, I was landing on grass.
