Again....another fantastic shot! Reading all of the comments makes me feel a little better...now I don't feel like such a complete failure....just 3/4 of one!

Very, I was at a Bird of Prey centre not too long ago for a project I was doing and I was trying to keep up with the falcons. It was very nearly impossible. I stuck to the owls in the end 'cos they were slower!

:),the Owls do give you a fighting chance ...

Haha indeed, you can see that in my gallery with 'Rimmel' it was about the only good shot I got that day (aside from a couple of the barns :) )

The shot of Rimmel is a good one :).

Great shot, I can never keep up with these guys, all my shots of them turn out blurred >.<

Thanks,i have found keeping both eyes open and following them like that helps get a better shot rather than trying to find it just in the viewfinder, and setting the focus to spot helps too so it sort of locks onto the bird better.

I need more practise definatly, will have to try this the next bird display I go to, thanks! =)

I also tried to catch the peregrin stoop when I was there last, did not end well!
quaddie's avatar
The Peregrin is so bloody fast......mine were rubbish :).
