You would not believe, Simba by Quachir You would not believe, Simba by Quachir
Sheesh! Took me long enough to sit down and finally color this sketch; it's been on my computer since about January 2006... and I still like it.

Back in that same month I had made a request of those who frequented's Requests/trades threads to suggest what I should draw Onani (the lilac breasted roller in this picture) doing.

This picture came as a result of my friend Kipcha suggesting that I draw Onani informing Simba (as a cub) about something. I finally got the urge while watching HP and the PoA to ink and color it in.

The end results with all the layers was seven, eight if you include the copyright layer.

I am very proud of this. Love it to death even more now that it's colored... even with the wonky look to Onani's right wing. I had lots of fun with this! ;P

I'd like to thank :icontimitu: for putting up some of her most recent tutorials, without them Simba would have really looked flat.

Oh and as a slightly random note... the new catagory system, way not fun! Where's the catagory for movie fan art? It was much easier to find before now it's..... *sighs*

Fan Art > Cartoons/Comics > Traditional (in your case, Digital) > Movies/TV

I hope that helped. You just need to be patient - it took a while for me to adapt, too.

Yeah, Onani's one of my favorite if most complicated character just because of his colors. I need to in and color some pictures of him again... but that's the same thing I need to do to all my characters. ;P

Onani has a great character design. Love the way you drew Simba, too :)

This is a very sweet draw. the background is a little...cloudy, but the colors of the picture are great. nice art!

Background was meant to be a little bit cloudy... truthfully it was the second try at the background beyond the characters and the tree... It was the only thing that worked well and the cloudy-ness was made using the "cloud" filter in Adobe Photoshop. give it a little more texture with the burn and dodge tools using a leaf brush.
